When her daughter was 3 years old, Ann decided to work at the Old Town School of Folk Music as a Wiggleworms instructor. That was 9 years ago. Someone in one of those classes suggested that she make a kids cd. Even though, Patrick, her husband, and Ann had just bought their very first and only house, Patrick was very supportive of Ann. He drummed on that cd and made all the artwork. Families seemed to like the CD so they went on to make 2 more cd’s all with a very upbeat folk rock vibe and unique instrumentation. The Little Miss Ann Band plays lots of Kids concerts throughout Chicago and beyond. Little Miss Ann even gets asked to do some really fun things like make a Nodcast Podcast for the Land of Nod or cover a cool Woody Guthrie song for his 100th birthday. She has written lots of “kindie” oriented articles, guest DJ’ed on radio stations, and is the founder of the Windy Kindie Chicago Cooperative. Time out Chicago Kids called her one of Chicago “Most Influential Kids Musicians” and nominated her one of the “Best Local Kindie acts”.
