Vocalist Cheryl Wilson and a cutting-edge string quartet composed of Carmen Kassinger, Lisa Fako, Monica Reilly, and Margaret Daly join forces to explore the many faces of love, from the serene to the tumultuous. On a subject that has demanded the attention of practically everyone who ever wrote a note of music, hear tangos by Piazzola and Gardel, lush excerpts from the Romantic quartets of Elgar and Dvorak, jazz standards from the Golden Age, and love anthems from the 80s and 90s. Injected with the performers’ signature banter, this celebration of romance asks, what is real love, while finding a renewal of faith in it.
Doors open at 11:00 A.M., and brunch will be available for purchase before and during the performance. Casual attire is encouraged.
