Harry Nilsson 75th Birth-year Tribute

March 18, 2016 @ 8:30 pm - 11:55 pm

In celebration of what would have been Harry Nilsson’s 75th birth year, we welcome you to come and enjoy the music of one of America’s finest and most underrated singer-songwriters. Although known for a smattering of hits, such as “Everybody’s Talkin'” from Midnight Cowboy, “Coconut” and “One,” which was made famous by Three Dog Night, Nilsson’s true greatness comes from the breadth of his largely unknown album material. Nilsson paired his sweet tenor voice with lyrics, at once both coy and bawdy, to great effect and has managed to create new fans of the material he released between the mid-60s and early-80s. The proceeds from this show will be given to The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence on behalf of the victims of shootings in 2015.

Featuring the Lonesome Organist, Daniel Knox, Angela James, Weatherman, Marvin Tate, Judson Claiborne, Bobby Conn & Monica Bou Bou, Abraham Levitan/Jim Cooper/Peter Andreadis of Baby Teeth, a string quartet and a horn section.
