Chinchano, Chicago’s exciting original music ensemble that fuses Peruvian folk rhythms with modern jazz, is presenting their second album, “Un Cambio”. Rich in both intricate improvisation, and flowing, through-composed arrangements, the music is heart-warming and thought-provoking, and may even move your heels. The new album is available and features compositions by percussionist/bandleader Juan Pastor, and pianist Stu Mindeman. “Un Cambio”, which follows the critically-acclaimed self-titled first album, explores new territory for Chinchano, featuring Marquis Hill on trumpet, Rich Moore on saxophone, and Patrick Mulcahy on bass.
