OPTION: Katie Ernst: Melt, Weep, Soften

Bassist/vocalist Katie Ernst is joined by improvisers Greg Artry, Matt Gold, Ken Oshodi to present new compositions and improvisations centered around questions of strength and vulnerability. These are songs for the softening of hardened hearts.

Katie Ernst is a bassist, vocalist, and composer in Chicago. Described by the Chicago Tribune as “an increasingly valuable figure in new-music Chicago,” Ernst is a member of many collaborative creative projects in Chicago including the band Twin Talk (with Dustin Laurenzi and Andrew Green), Wayfaring (with clarinetist James Falzone), and Evergreen (with dancer Jessica Marasa).
