Every Tuesday we present Chicago’s top jazz artists in a lively atmosphere, full of cocktail-shaking and spirited conversation.

Guitarist Hans Luchs has been performing professionally in and around Chicago since moving to the city in 2007. Hans has performed and toured with an array of artists in American music including 8-time Grammy winner Pepe Aguilar, Motown Legend Martha Reeves, and blues singer Shirley King just to name a few. Hans has also performed, recorded, and toured with a host of wonderful jazz musicians from Chicago and beyond. Hans has also recorded and performed for NPR as a special guest musician for The Moth. As an educator, Hans has taught private lessons and classes at the elementary, secondary, and college level. Currently, Hans teaches music through the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic. Hans has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Illinois-Chicago and a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from DePaul University.
