I learned photography during high school while working at Chicago’s Gallery 37 program. I still ache for the smell of chemicals on my hands as I develop my own film. Today, I work predominantly digitally and get to tinker with film on the side. I own a variety of cameras: Canon 5D Mark III; 35mm Canon EOS 1V; 4×5 Polaroid camera; instant film beauties: Polaroid Spectra QPS, Polaroid One600, and Fujifilm Instax 210; and the medium format lovelies: my grandfather’s old Airesflex, Holga (the first I ever constructed), Sprocket Rocket, Domino La Sardina, and the dreamy Diana F+.

My work has been featured in Style Me Pretty, H&H Weddings, Elizabeth Anne Designs, Equally Wed, Brooklyn Bride, The Knot, Swooned, Every Last Detail, Fab You Bliss, Landlocked Bride, and more. In addition to taking pictures, I am: the owner of The Made Fest, a handmade + vintage festival; madly in love with my husband; a co-founder of Smile Politely, a Champaign-Urbana local culture magazine and The Pygmalion Festival; a master gardener; an epicurean; and a mother. I also love to take photos of consumed goods (also known as “I love to eat food.”)
