The Family Den Lounge

Located in the midst of a long swath of clubs, the Family Den is an area favorite in daytime hangouts, and on most afternoons this lively dance floor is full and active. Only those ages 30 and older are allowed in this Latin and jazz lounge, so you’ll usually find a more low-key crowd from the nearby South Side neighborhoods. Belly up to the bar for an expansive selection of soul food that includes chicken sandwiches, wings, fried fish, pizza puffs and veggie burgers, all served daily until closing time. On weekends the spot offers a Steppers’ Brunch for those looking to power up with some good eats before getting their dance on.
