Relax Attack Jazz Series: Lara Driscoll Trio, with Ryan Jacobi, Sean Jacobi

Every Monday we present Chicago’s top jazz artists in a lively atmosphere, full of cocktail-shaking and spirited conversation. Tonight’s group features Lara Driscoll (piano), Ryan Jacobi (drums), and Sean Jacobi (bass).

Pianist and composer Lara Driscoll moved to Chicago after completing her masters in Jazz Performance at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. While based in Montreal, she performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, recorded an album of her original trio compositions, and taught as a lecturer of jazz piano, theory, and history for McGill. Lara has since joined the music faculty at Harold Washington College and Loyola University Chicago where she teaches courses in piano, jazz, world music, and humanities. A versatile artist with a passion for expressive communication through music, Lara performs with her jazz trio, Tango Espejo, Poste-AM Quintet, Bossa Nuevo, Beat Kitchen, Mark O’Connor Quintet, and many other projects.
